it's hard enough to find a decent 19" lcd for $300, you won't find one with a tv tuner and good resolution. I would get a dell 19" ultra sharp and a tv tuner, or a 20" widescreen ultra sharp

if i get a 19" analog lcd and install a tv tuner card, can i watch tv on the monitor now? is that the same as going with a 19" lcd/tv monitor?

get in on this deal http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E1682402101919" w. dvi+ 8ms response time for $220 after $40 mir today only. i just purchased it after seeing 248 5/5 reviews on it and alot of people are saying it's a rebadged viewsonic monitor.u can throw in any tv tuner card and the monitor will display it just like a tv would. if u plan to watch dvds hold out a little longer for a dell deal on thier 20" widescreen which woudl be better for dvds. it should dip very close to your $300 price range.
