Saturday night is the skils competition with the 3 point shooting and dunk contest. Coverage starts at 7pm w/ "The Greatest Dunk Ever".

Sunday night is the actual All-Star game at 8pm. Go East!

i enjoy and look forward to this weekend every year. personally, i think its the best all star break of the year in all of sports, nothing else to me even comes close, but thats probably b/c i've always been a bball player.

Since the dunk contest became a donkey show, the Home Run Derby during MLB weekend is the best all-star event in sports. Personally, I'm a huge fan of NHL Super Skills Saturday, but that's just me.

And yes i know everyone will talk about the Nique/Jordan showdown... and that was a great dunk contest for its time... but those dunks cant compare with what we saw last year...

i agree with the recreation bullshit they tried pullin, but last year was just sick. if you're gonna say josh smith wasnt original, then you must not have watched. even tho it wasnt as good as vince carter, and i cant remember exact dunks like i can from his incredible performance, josh smith's performance last year was incredible.

how many variations on the dunk or the dunk contest is their left to do? Josh Smith is an amazing athelete, no doubt, but really, he wore a throwback jersey and dunked the basketball

the dunk contest has become stale and part of that comes from the SUPERSTARS not competeing to add hype and the other part of it is that until someone does something completely absurd (naterob?), the dunk contest will continue to be only mildly entertaining

^^^^dee brown was on espn classic today talking about how he went around the country filming some shit about street baller/dunkers and how they incorperated cars, people, and other crazy shit into their dunks. said he saw some things he has never seen before.
