finally building my new system
p4 3.4 and intel 915 MB -> parts from best buy intel retail deal a while back when i worked there
ati x1800 XT
74.5 gb raptor for OS/main drive and something like a 250gb 16mb cache drive for storage
creative X-fi music sound card
2 GB DDR2-4200, both the PQI and OCZ gold are rated at 3-3-3-8 just wanna know if any of you guys have tried either

^ good but overpriced, the OCZ and PQI both keep up with it from what I have heard with good reliability and performance, they are both relatively new to the memory market and have been making their name with products that exceed spec and expectations, especially OCZ

Get sticks with betting timings. At least CAS 2.5.

^those are good timings for DDR2 ram, you may be thinking DDR

for what it's worth, save your money and buy corsair value ram, i got 2gb and so glad i spent my money elsewhere, sorry but just because it's expensive doesn't make it worth it.

they should have tested the load times intsead of framerates in their test. i went from value select to ocz and there was definatly a difference in load times, menus popped up faster etc. i woulnd't say the better ram is worth double or anyhting but i say if u can get a good deal it's worth it.
