mine was nationwide, was a third vehicle, so wasn't that bad, i'm probably switching everything over to Geico in about 4 months or soi only had liability, and it was prolly ~$20 a month, so prolly like 250 a yearif financing, you have to get full coverage, which depending on your driving history could be 60-200 a month if not more[Edited on February 16, 2006 at 7:27 PM. Mine was ~$25 every 6 months for liability only when I had my BMW. It was $125 every 6 months for liability + theft. It would have been a lot for full coverage though...I think I remember $500-$600 every 6 months for full coverage.[Edited on February 16, 2006 at 10:35 PM. Reason : s]

thank you for all your responses. i didn't realize that motorcycle insurance <<< car insurance. BTW, does anyone have any suggestions for a place to get a helmet and a brand to get? I am taking the MSF class in a month and need to pick one up.

kbc or hjc are reasonably priced good helmets, I have a kbc TK-77 thats quite a bit heavier than a shoei, but i've never had any problems with my neck being sore or anything on trips of 3-4 hours at a time. also visors are much cheaper for them, no matter how well you take care of your helmet, you're always gonna need at least 1 visor a year, they always get scratched. i think hjc has the 3 way modular helmets, with the full front that flips up, or just the visor. my dad has one like that in a little more expensive brand and likes it.btw, got a chance to ride the bike that dad bought last month and it is fucking awesome, i may sell my magna and buy it from him when he gets tired of it like every other one he's had. '03 kawaski concord 1000cc that will damn near keep up with my uncle's FJR1300 in the turns and short straghtaways. those are the only 2 cruisers i have ever dumped the clutch going into second and pulled the front wheel completely off the ground. my magna will haul ass, but it is too heavy in the front to even unload the forks all the way before the back tire breaks loose.my uncle pulled 142hp on a dyno at daytona last year with the FJR, its completely stock and put down 17 more than its rated at.
