I heard part of the Steve Elketon(sp) interview yesterday. It was pretty good. All I really heard was how he went deep sea fishing and caught a big ass marlin that a shark tore the assend of it off before he could get it in.

rome gets the best interviews in the business. why? because all the athletes love his ass. He knows what he's talking about and he's funny too. Rome is the best in the biz.

I only watch his show.

and he isnt that good. He is annoying, and its not because he comes off like he is trying to rile you up....its because he comes off like he is TRYING to come off like he is trying to rile you up.

He makes a decent point about something, and them makes himself look like an idiot by mispronouncing someones name.

and honestly, who gives a FUCK what rodger damn lodge says about sports??

his tv shows sucks compared to the radio show, if you have 3 hours to waste you should listen, but not everyday cause you might turn into a loser

You could combine his show into an hour show if you cut out all of his dead time.

the problem is that they try to do 3 hour shows solo for 5 days a week

I don't have a problem with it. I mean, it's not like dan patrick's show is super entertaining or anything. Rome's format is sports/pop culture. it keeps my attention the whole time.

the only time I can say that I get a little annoyed is with some of the phone calls. other than that I think it's gold.

it seems like theres a rome thread every 6 months and its always the same. the people who dont listen regularly(who honestly dont understand the show or where he's coming from) hate it while regular listeners who do understand it love it. i fall into the latter as a fan of 6 years now and I havent met one person who has listened to the show for more than 3 weeks who doesnt like it

^thank you. if you've ever listened to him, he actually knows ALOT about sports. he's not just putting him on the show because they're friends. Hell, he's hosted the rome show when jim's been on vacation a few times and he does an awesome job.

and switching to satellite radio or strictly tv,
