He said most prostitutes are careful not to say anything incriminating, which makes sexual contact necessary Several police officials and legal observers say the practice has been tried by other agencies across the country, but they knew of none that still permit sexual contact with suspects as part of prostitution investigations. But many police agencies across the country have banned sexual contact between investigators and suspects. When police used similar tactics in the past in Montgomery County, Md., the charges ended up being dropped. "

in my experience with the law, it always seems the young cops are cool as shit and the old cops are douche bags

like i've had 3 young cops give me the "well i was in your shoes not too long ago" story and let me go without even giving me a warning ticket, just a verbal like "go home" type thing

i wish more cops could understand the mind set of some drug users and realize that they are people too

if i'm correct...it's only entrapment if the undercover law officer gets you to do something you normally wouldn't have done. such as if he infiltrated a drug dealing ring that was just operating as drug dealers. if the infiltrating officer was to get them to, say, purchase illegal firearms then that would be entrapment. but the actual infiltration of the drug dealing would not be.

so receiving sexual services by a prostitute in the due course of investigation would not be entrapment.
