there was an ad in the technician for healthy volunteers for pharmaceutical research with the company aai. it says you can make $800-$2500 for overnight stays. i was wondering if anyone has heard of the company or participated in a study, or has done anything like it. the website for the screening info is: http://www.aaidevelopment.com/screening/index.asp

thanks for any info!

PM robster and ask him about it. I don't know if he's done this particular study, but he's done the overnight thing with other studies. Good money.

I would be hesitant of something that would ask for your SSN online--ESPECIALLY on an unsecure page.

It looks like they're a legitimate company (that had to reorganize after filing for bankrupcy in 2004). But I have never heard of a legitimate company asking for your SSN online in an application. And on an unsecure page!

I would give my credit card number on an unsecure page before my SSN. If you do sign up, I would definitely NOT put your SSN in.

They're legit. My roommate talked to them on the phone about it. You have to get your blood taken about a dozen times that night though. Also, you can't be on ANY medications. My friggin' eye meds kept me out.

They don't have "AIDS" medicines ... they do have HIV treatments though. Your attempt at humour was pitiful at best.

They most likely don't have a technical computer person on staff and don't realize the dangers of asking for a SS# on an unsecured website. Somebody needs to get in contact with their director of research and let them know why this is a bad thing. There is probably some federal law out there regarding "collection of ss#'s for human test subjects", but I can't find it at the immediate moment.

I've done about 25-30 studies with that company. I average about 5 or 6 a year for last 5 years. I posted about it a while back.
Easiest money ever.
I made $7,700 last year. Got my 1099 to prove it.
If you need any info, you can message me.
They are in the process of moving from Chapel Hill to Morrisville. I haven't gotten any invites in about 3 weeks, so I hope they get done soon. I need some more $$$$.

Also, PLEASE tell them SOMEONE referred you. I'd like that someone to be me, b/c you get $50 for referring people. But, at least make sure someone gets that $50. After you finish your first study, then you can refer people.

Most studies are 2 periods, usually 36 hours. Like Friday night thru Sunday morning. All the stuff happens on the middle day, in that case, Saturday. You get up really early, and then just follow your sheet. They take your blood pressure/temperature, then you eat, then you take medicine, then you give blood about 20 times during the day. Each blood draw takes about a minute. Rest of the time you watch tv, read, sleep, play video games, whatever.

Pretty damn easy. Message me if you want more info.

Just a quick note. If you message me and want to split the referral, then just don't put me down as the person who referred you.
Not being an asshole here. Just kind of messes up the system. After you complete one study, you can refer as many people as you want, with a chance to make $50 on each one.
I was referred by someone and they got $50.

To be honest, I don't tell people about these studies to make the referral money. I also don't turn down the referral money
I just like telling people about an easy way I've found to make really good extra money. Over the years I've prob. told over 50 people in person about AAI, and posted on a couple message boards. I've prob. gotten 5 or 6 people that actually did a study to get me the $50.

Also, remember that the $50 is not taxed up front. So, I get a 1099 that includes all money made, including referrals.

Like I say, not trying to be an asshole. Its not a big deal, just please don't ask to split the referral b/c you won't want to split them either down the road. Just don't put my name down. Pretty easy.

I finally got an invitation today, so it looks like they are running studies at the new place now. Hopefully I'll get in. This one looks easy. Friday night thru Sat. night...twice. $800. A bad prostitute can't make that kind of money...er...so I've heard.

They test urine and blood. They are sometimes real slow about getting people on the email list. Have no idea why. I'd say give it a couple weeks, but then call. Their phone number at the new place is 481-5710

I've heard rumors that there is a guy that has a big thing of piss in his refrigerator. I think he puts a little in the microwave before he leaves and by the time he gets there its the right temperature. I'm sure some people piss for others, etc. I know one guy told me someone paid him $100 for his piss one time. But you didn't hear that from me.
