Alrighty. Got my steering components from Trail Gear yesterday and got it bolted up and working great.

And the finished product (yes, we set the toe with a tape measure... don't judge me!):







Is that good lookin' or what? We took it for a quick spin down the street and it steered like a cadillac! What a big improvement.

nice, looks good. hard to tell from the pics, but i assume everything is going to clear under passenger side compression? looks like you could possible have some tie rod/drag link interferance?

yeah, it's pretty tight. Fortunately, the axle will move back a lot at full stuff, clearing the pitman arm. I'm a little worried about the tie rod and drag link hitting each other, but i'll have to flex it out a few different ways to see how it's going to act. cross your fingers for me.

When i sas'd mine i made leaf packs from old rears and w/ that side stuffed my pitman arm hit the tie-rod... unfortunately i had to buy spring packs (5 inch trail grear), but now it clears great

Damnit! I forgot my disclaimer! I know it's an easy bolt on upgrade, but it makes a hell of a difference and plus, I got a new digital camera and have been snappin' pictures like a madman. I figured some of you guys might like to see some pictures other than, "what's this thingy?" or "can I use electrical tape to make my toyota camry headlights look like this" and other stuff like that.

This is definately a built, not bought truck though. I've got less than $1500 in it. A SAS'd, fuel injected yota with high steer and a tube bed for less than $1500... I've put a whole lot more work than money into it.

^^why not try a different arm? 2wd arms have quite a bit less drop.

^That's my plan if this doesn't work out. I'll feel pretty sheepish for not being able to use the new pitman arm that I paid for, but it'd be cheaper than new springs for a broke newlywed guy like myself.

PS - I'm using stock rears in the front, and I love 'em!
