I'm doing an article for the Technician and I'm trying to find some serious couples who are living together. If you are interested in talking to me, PM me with your info.

if you are doing an article for the technician, then perhaps you are a reporter. In which case, I would expect you do to research prior to writing an article. Tools such as the search function can be valuable even to those of us who do not aspire to be reporters. I bet if you did a search, you would find several threads adn a whole bunch of people that do this, and have talked about it recently. THen again, you do write for the technician, so perhaps my expectations are a bit high.

I've never lived with your girlfriend or boyfriend so I wouldn't know
2/10/2006 8:04:04 AM
dont do it. makes it too hard to break up and then you get pressured into marriage.

2/10/2006 8:28:12 AM
^^ man, getting stiffed on the relationship and the rent would be painfull
2/10/2006 10:07:04 AM
I HAVE to live with someone before marrying them. I have had several terrible experiences with roommates, and even my mom agreed that I should live with my boyfriend before we decided to get married.
2/10/2006 11:41:02 AM
I'm already resigned to the fact that I'm going to hell.
2/10/2006 11:43:48 AM
It can be an awful idea.Josh was living with Louise when she decided to break up with him and immediately started doing some guy who she brought back to the place that they shared. My fiance and I actually got together because he started coming to visit me on Greenville on the weekends to get away from her and her new boyfriend. And when she finally decided to move out, she took months and months to get all of her stuff out -- not to mention the complications of having a pet together. Needless to say, we dated for nearly 2 years before we even thought about moving in together and we took babysteps like sharing a place with a roomate before getting a place alone. That story is in the other thread about living together from a couple of weeks ago. We've been living together for 2 years and we're getting married in June. But yeah, living with your S.O. can be pretty fucking stupid. . .but sometimes it works out.

2/11/2006 12:00:05 AM
did you make room for rowdy?
2/11/2006 12:07:54 AM
having 2 separate bathrooms is key
2/11/2006 12:11:51 AM
my living room has a couch and a small bed (the one i grew up on). before we had a real couch i suggested we used the bed as a couch, and just use the color sheets on it that would make it match with the rest of the room and not stand out too much. a week or so later we saw the same idea in a magazine saying that college students/ppl with new apartments should do that to save money... so while there is a single bedroom, the living room can function as a separating sleep quarters as needed without the akwardness of a couple having seperate bedrooms. its also nice for having guests who stay over night. I hope lewhite comes back to the thread and lets us know how & what if any of this stuff shes using and when it would be in the technician.

i think it's funny how many people who suck at relationships in general think it's the act of living together that ruins everything...
