Trying to access my files through the usb port. Thanks

taling about a USB drive?

go to the terminal window and type "mount"

itll tell you where all your devices are mounted. one of them will correspond to your USB drive (assuming hotplug is working)

I get this:

eos% mount
/dev/sda2 on / type ext3 (rw)
none on /proc type proc (rw)
none on /dev/pts type devpts (rw,gid=5,mode=620)
usbdevfs on /proc/bus/usb type usbdevfs (rw)
/dev/sda1 on /boot type ext3 (rw)
none on /dev/shm type tmpfs (rw)
/dev/sda3 on /tmp type ext3 (rw)
/dev/sda6 on /var type ext3 (rw)
/dev/sda5 on /var/cache type ext3 (rw)
AFS on /afs type afs (rw)
automount(pid7336) on /ncsu type autofs (rw,fd=5,pgrp=7336,minproto=2,maxproto=4)
