CHAPEL HILL, N.C. (AP) -- The leading tacklers for Duke and North Carolina were among four football players arrested after a weekend fight at a nightclub, authorities said."The folks involved in the fight were largely football players," Chapel Hill police Maj. Brian Curran said.Larry Daniel Edwards, 20, a Tar Heels linebacker, was charged Sunday with damage to real property after an officer saw him break out the glass window of an exit door at the Chi Hi Club, Curran said.Edwards tied for the team lead with 91 tackles during the 2005 season.Duke linebacker Michael Shawn Brown, 19; safety Andreas Timon Platt, 20, and fullback Segun Adetokunbo Akande, 20, were each charged with failure to disperse on command.Brown led Duke with 92 tackles and was named Atlantic Coast Conference Defensive Freshman of the Year by The Sporting News and selected as a member of the national all-freshman team picked by the Football Writers Association of America.Officers arrived at the club to find several hundred people outside, many of them encouraging the football players as they fought, Curran said."From what the report said, it started off as a private party," he said. "I believe some Duke students rented the place, and then it just got out of hand."
