why can't NC State win this year with Marcus Stone?

I mean look at the similiarities. Both make dumbass mistakes, both rely on great defense, and both run when in trouble. I guess we need to get another fast QB (Hello Greco) converted to WR and run trick plays.

Just a thought.

Haha come on now. Both our coaches are NC State grads and former linebackers at that. Im trying to be positive about having Stone starting this year and none come to mind.

Just pointing out the similarities. Ben has Parker, Bettis, Staley to hand it off to. Marcus has Brown, Baker, and Blackman.

the steelers also have a good offensive line, so ben has time to look around the field, and can hand it off on running plays confident that they'll get positive yards. NCSU cannot do the same.

How can you even begin to compare Roethlisberger with Stone?

Stone isn't even a fraction of the QB Roethlisberger is.

^Haha its not that at all man. Marcus and Ben play the same style and both rely on great defense and running backs to win. Im not comparing the two, Im saying why can't NCSU take their style and play like the Steelers.

Roethlisberger is good at reading defenses.

Stone is not good at reading.

It isn't that crazy? Am I the only one who sees the resemblance in the two teams and their style of play? Maybe Stone has something going. He is 5-1 as a starter. Ben never has great stats but gets a W anyway he has to.

roethlesberger had a good team. we are losing like 8000 players.

that's why nc state can't win this year w/ mc

I love how I am getting pwnd by n00bs. Im just making a statement in how they are alike. Never did I compare Ben to Marcus. It was just a thought.

I was a Jay supporter and backed Charlie.

I guess what Im really trying to say is CHUCK YOU CAN WIN WITH RUNNING THE BALL AND DEFENSE. How hard is it to see what the NFL Champs are doing?

^I think he figured that out in the second half of the season.

But to compare Stone to Roethlisberger is absurd.

And we wont have a Defense next season...for anyone who has quickly forgotten who we lose.

Im sorry that Ben was soo good last night. He won the game all buy himself. He was 9/21 passing with 0 touchdowns and 2 interceptions yet he gets all the credit. That made me think how people were giving Stone all the credit for our wins when he wasn't the reason for winning.

/ranting.

nobody gave Roethlisberger credit for the win...they said he got the job done, but it wasnt pretty. Yeah thats similar to stone, but to compare the two is still absurd.

i truley beleive that our commitee of backs could split the runing game three ways and do great. even four ways for that matter with cedric hickman (north forsyth HS/Hargrave military) joining the roster. i ran track in HS with this kid. As a Junior, Hickman ran for 1700 yards and 16 touchdowns including 295 yards in one game. whats holding us back from just pounding the ball on the ground. "dont throw the ball" should be the 06 motto. fu<k discipline. just get a stout O-line and play smashmouth football.

add the fact that that is one of the worst games of bens CAREER, its not comparable, at all. marcus wishes he could play a game as well as ben did last night, and thats not saying much

So you're saying that if State had the Steelers defense, O Line, RBs, and WR's that they could win this year?

Sure.

^absolutely not

reed has made countless huge kicks for the steelers, without all the misses that deraney makes. heinz field is the hardest place to kick in the NFL, and reed has shown consistency there.

reed doesnt need to punt when you have a punter who has never been blocked in his career

seriously

deraney being a punter actually hurts his kicking accuracy. he can't focus on only one thing in practice. reed is a proven NFL placekicker. deraney isn't even a proven colleg placekicker, but you won't find me questioning his value to the wolfpack. all i'm saying is i would most definitely rather have reed than deraney in pittsburgh

Def. coordinators in the ACC are holding us back from just pounding the ball on the ground. It's called stacking 8 and 9 in the box on teams that try to do this. Not being able to throw the ball at all also contributes to
