after seeing that R51 go for like $500, i need to keep an eye out.me dad can get better deals on new comps. plus lenovo took over their pc department. not sure if i can believe in them. i like to stick to real IBM for now.[Edited on February 6, 2006 at 3:05 AM. Reason : ]

id trust a new comp by a dif. company over a used one from IBMespecially a laptopBUT IT DOESNT HURT TO SEE WHATS OUT THERE I GUESSremind me to punch you in the face for whatever reason

hah, IBM thinkpads are/were one of the best out there. IMO that is. there was a reason they were so damned expensive.lenovo is a chinese company. i mean, im not knocking them. but i would rather stick with the old shit that i know than spend $$ on this new stuff. haha nosir.right now, yes, the thinkpads still have the name on it. the new ones that will come out will be compared to dell.and we all know.....

nope - thinkpad will always stay thinkpad - no plans to ever drop the name.in addition to the good stuff, they're introducing a totally new line of economy-line, Best Buy junk so that they can compete with the Dells, Toshibas, etc., which IBM never did...
