your program is more "storied" but thats because of all the catholic media shitwho has a better program winning % huh? who has more wins?

2/12/2006 3:43:59 PM
michigan has the more recent championship and heisman winner!you guys haven't won one since the 80's, give me a break..I'm excited to see what Weis can bring to the ND-UM rivalry, perhaps it will become more competitive in the coming years
2/12/2006 4:19:13 PM
ummm
2/12/2006 4:23:57 PM
i'd say both programs are pretty comparable in terms of history, winning tradition, and fan support.ND might have a couple more titles, but those can be argued on the basis of which poll backed them etc, and we all know the media loves to give Notre Dame credit for stuff they might not have earned (BCS bid with two losses?).I like to see the historically strong schools do well though, even if Notre Dame isn't my favorite. As long as they aren't Ohio State I'm cool. [Edited on February 12, 2006 at 4:27 PM. Reason : yea]

As a Boiler I've not had much of anything to brag about this year, so...PURDUE 94, Michigan 80
2/12/2006 11:03:12 PM
^ wurd, they showed up somehow
2/12/2006 11:23:45 PM
lol boilers, so much for coasting to national prominence on an easy football schedule eh?
2/13/2006 1:13:41 AM
^ I wouldn't say easy, we just didn't get Ohio State and Michigan. We played Notre Dame (as usual), a decent non-conference game at Arizona (that we won), and everyone else in the Big 10 besides UM and OSU. The people at the start of the season saying we could win the Big 10 were looking at our schedule and not our team, which was stupid. It always seems that Purdue do well when they have zero preseason hype and no one expects anything of them. And when do they have hype, they fail miserably. Although I think there's going to be some pressure on Tiller this coming year. Our schedule has always been this way with Ohio State and Michigan though, we usually either play both away, both at home, or not at all. I wish they'd switch them up or separate them for a more balanced schedule year in, year out.
2/13/2006 3:39:21 PM
they were looking at your team, didnt the entire starting defense come back? they were supposed to be nasty
