Try resetting your router and cable modem, and/or restarting your computer.[Edited on February 4, 2006 at 1:51 AM. Reason : ]

the HOSTS file!?! you people must spend a lot of time troubleshooting simple problems if you check for some random fucking website in the HOSTS file first when you can't ping something. does the word "improbability" mean anything to you?maybe before checking the HOSTS file he should have checked... the network interface?this is not directed at you redneck350, I'm just not sure if they were trolling or honestly that far off base... I have never in my life encountered an accidental case of HOSTS poisoning-- if you're trying to intentionally detour name resolution, there are ways to do that whereby the user can't edit a text file to repair it. it's just so far off base it hurts me inside.[Edited on February 4, 2006 at 12:36 PM. there are definitely cases of spyware putting stuff in your hosts file to redirect common sites like google (since when is google a "random fucking website")i think it was an appropriate suggestion[Edited on February 4, 2006 at 4:25 PM. Reason : not a lot]
