it's mostly lower back, sometimes it'll shoot up to about halfway up my back in little spasms. i don't know what sets it off, sometimes it'll be fine and then other times, usually in the morning or at night, it'll hurt. it's been that way for about two months.

did you do anything that you remember before this started that could have caused it?and are the spasms a stinging or throbing or dull or?have you had a history of back pain?try sleeping with a pillow under your knees....this will flatten out the small of your back, this worked for me for a while[Edited on January 31, 2006 at 10:55 PM. ^^i can't afford to go to a doctor^i can't say that i remember doing anything before it started. the spasms make my back feel like it's on fire, when they happen there's usually about 5 before it'll stop, and then a while later they'll start up again. and no history of back pain.i'll definitely try the pillows thing tonight
