I am looking to get a job, for the purposes of a little extra spending cash. I am only able to work weekends and I was looking for some input as to past or present jobs that any of you have or have had, to give me a few ideas.I'm looking for something that will pays fairly well and I do not mind manual labor. This is in addition to 18 hours of classes so I'm not looking for anything specialized, I just want something where I go in, do what I'm supposed to, and get paid. So what weekend jobs have you had and how were they?

Security work. That's what I do on the weekends while in school. Currently I'm on co-op for a year, so hopefully I can get my old spot back. I think it's a good job for a college kid because you can essentially get paid for doing your homework. And most security gigs start off around $9-10/hr. Really, the only thing you'd have to do on your shift is patrol every couple of hours. Some don't even require you to patrol; just sit at a front desk and look cute, maybe answer some phones. And the best part about weekend security is you'll more than likely be watching an empty building; no phones or people to deal with and complete quiet for concentration. I credit my weekend security job for making CHE bearable.I work for a company called Guardsmark, but there are plenty.

I worked at a bakery on Sundays for awhile. The pay stank, but at the end of the day I could take home the leftovers, so that was pretty cool.
