Well, you gotta figure that stoichiometric ratio for nitromethane is around 1.7 to 1, as compared to 14.7 to 1 for gasoline.

waitdid they just say "rows of NASCARS"?

ITS STOCK CARS THE NEXT TIME I HEAR A STOCK CAR REFERRED TO AS A 'NASCAR' I WILL KILL SOMEBODY DAMNITseriously though I just can't watch a car launch into a straight line. I'd rather watch jets launch off of carriers. But I've never been to a drag race in person. probably exciting compared to watching on TV

If you get pounded by the sound of a top fueler launching off the line, you might change your tune.Makes me jizz in my britches.

not so much

id rather watch racing/events with loosely enforced rules and regulations... that way someone will be a badass and blow the doors off the others

like i said i've never seen it in person, it has to be loud a hell and shake the earth

you can feel them practicing in the parking lot....the ground shakes for a good ways away from the track... its amazing something that small can hold that much power.i like to walk past one running in the pitts and kill 1/2 my brain in 1 breath.+ i think its pretty cool how the tires are sorta like a transmission getting taller due to the centripital force as they go down the track (yes i know they have a bunch of clutches too) and i've seen the clutches after 1 run... those things melted together... it was awesome.ohh by the way... there is more than one type of stock car or nascar they should be refered to as nextel cup cars.[Edited on January 28, 2006 at 9:44 PM.
