I like the cat question. Q: If I jam the RESISTOR of justice in my ear will it make me run around well fast? making a whooshing sound? Can i try one on the cat first? yours hopefully ganja A: Yeah, ram in it your cats head, take pictures.

actually, plenty of people do buys these. they're marketed as "chips" but they're just boxes with resistors inside that go on one of the air sensor wires. it leans your car out and you make more power at the cost of your motor.

it would only work for a short while if someone would invent and market PCMs that can "learn" and compensate for things... oh wait

some people don't know shit about cars. and most of them go on a boost sensor so the wastegate lets booost climb higher.

^^^^it's inserted in the IAT sensor harness, and richens the mixture, not lean. fools the computer into thinking the incoming air is cooler than it is, dumping more fuel in.

it's a car kazoo!

^^ hmmm, the "chips" I remember reading about eventually caused premature ring wear and other damage to the motor. I'm not gonna argue with what you've said because it sounds more right than what I said, but what damage is done by running a richer mix?
