ESPN said it was $38 million.Either way, that's just nuts. No way one couple needs that much house. If I was as rich as him, I'd buy a $10 million house and do something entirely more productive with the other $28 million.
1/26/2006 10:55:41 AM
yeah they said he always wanted to buy a house with his golf earnings if he ever was successfull...i think his monthly payment (if he had a 30 year mortgage) was supposed to be around 170,000? a month... that's nuts

some hurricane is gonna pwnt that
1/26/2006 11:08:52 AM
as sad as that would be, it would indeed be funnyBut unfortunately, every insurance premium of every citizen in America would go up to conpensate the insurance it'd cost to replace that, haha

I have a feeling they may let tiger woods play at their golf club, what a crock of shit, the dude could write one check and buy the fucking golf club if he wanted, would be hard to hold a guy like that out!Looks like a sweat complex for tiger, the dude cleared more than 100 million last year... would be nice to only have to spend 1/3 of your yearly income on a 40 million dollar houseStill not as crazy as that dude in the Hamptons building the 100 million dollar house...
1/26/2006 11:35:21 AM
crazy thing is, he might tear down the main house
1/26/2006 11:38:32 AM
^yeah, that is when you know you have big time cash
1/26/2006 11:45:25 AM
not let him join the golf club....my ass.
1/26/2006 11:47:43 AM
that is insane. But like everyone else has said, he only needed a little more than 1/3 of what he got last year to buy it all so oh wellhe will make another 100 million this year and the next and he will forget how much it ever cost....must be nice
1/26/2006 11:49:06 AM
and it's not like he doesn't do alot for everyone else...his Foundation does some great things[Edited on January 26, 2006 at 11:55 AM. Reason : asdg]
1/26/2006 11:55:26 AM
yeah I think I read somewhere that he gives more to charity than any other athletebut he does make more than any other athlete i think
1/26/2006 11:58:15 AM
$40 million. In Florida.AHAHAHAHAHAHAHA.
1/26/2006 12:41:39 PM
40MM at 6% is a $240,000.mo. payment over 30 years.Although I am sure he paid cash.
1/26/2006 1:00:16 PM
As rich as he is, you'd be stupid to take out a mortgage on the thing.
1/26/2006 1:16:40 PM
That house aint shit.... That doesn't touch living in hedinghood!
1/26/2006 1:26:20 PM
where's the runway for the private jet?gosh tiger, that house is 2nd rate
1/26/2006 1:39:41 PM
meh ... he makes up for it with the 155 ft yacht..
1/26/2006 2:04:49 PM
1/26/2006 2:29:05 PM
^yeah but buying a 40 million dollar compound and then knocking the main building downBALLER
1/26/2006 2:39:59 PM
good for tiger but i think he could of done better than this with 38 millionto only get 10 acres for 38 million that is ridiculous
1/26/2006 3:55:47 PM
he's buying that house straight cashwho gives a fuck what the monthly payments WOULD be
1/26/2006 3:57:23 PM
yeah, he has an intracoastal waterway coast and the atlantic ocean coast...that's big ballin
1/26/2006 8:13:36 PM
WHy would he buy it straight cash?Thats just financially stupid. If he's not retarded he'll put 20% down and take out a 30 year mortgage.Unless he just doesnt want the hassle of making monthly payments... which I could understand.
1/26/2006 8:16:36 PM
They broke it down on Sportscenter last night. With a down payment of 7.5 Mi they said his monthly payment would be around 177,000 a month over 30 years. Also they said that since he became a pro he has put all of the money he won playing towards his "dream home." He has made 55.7 Mill since he turned pro. He hasnt touched his prize money till now and still lives the way he did before. THAT is dirty.
1/26/2006 9:44:33 PM
1/26/2006 10:28:00 PM
right... all the more reason that it makes no sense whatsoever for him to pay for the house with straight cash homie.
1/27/2006 12:41:24 AM
Do you think he'll hire a staff? I bet he'd pay pretty good....hmmmm I can mow the lawn and sweep the floors
1/27/2006 12:51:02 AM
