Yeah I think so far he is. They lost their top 2 players in Devin Smith and Elton Brown. He might have something goin on at UVA.

acc is just terrible. gosh. uva is the 3rd best team. yuck.

they probobly arent but whats even sadder is the teams that claim to be 3rd best are unc and bc.

balanced is the word, not terrible. It's stupid to say a conference is terrible because one team beat another team in the same conference.

its not terrible because one team beat another -- its terrible because of the quality of the product on the court.


we've all seen amazing games by other teams nationally and know that the acc is down compared to them.

I agree that its down some, but overall there's just more parity than usual. I can't remember when at this point in the year all I knew was:

Duke and State were the real deal, VT sucks, and that Wake is fake.

The rest you just can't say anything concrete about. I wouldn't really bet on any one of those teams to finish 3rd or 10th.

But great job UVA. Of all the teams I would have expected to be tied with us for second, if only for a brief period, it wasn't you.

Leitao is a very good coach -- I've been saying this for years. I still think he is just at UVa until Calhoun retires at UConn though. I'm almost positive he would go back there to take over if asked..

Their recruiting class is one of the best in the country next year and they are in the process of upgrading their facilities. I think UVa is going to be a force in the new ACC for as long as Dave Leitao is there..

They are going to have students behind one goal and on one sideline - looks like a really good setup for basketball - even though it's more of a horseshoe. Anything would beat the current arena.
