If you can't take a little teacher-initiated criticism about your attempt to garner attention...you shouldn't be a Denver fan in PA....

I can see the teacher wanting to make an example during class time, but not during an exam. I think the teacher was out of line.

There is a time and place for jokes like these and they shouldn't occur during a time a student is taking an exam. Had this happened during regular class time and the teacher followed up with his explaination on why he was doing this, it wouldn't be a big deal.

Sad thing is that it's a John Elway jersey.... I want to wear my Terry Bradshaw jersey for the Superbowl [/sarcasm]....

This kid got what he deserved.... Wearing a Denver jersey in PA before the Steelers play them is like wearing a Rangers jersey in Detroit before the Red Wings play them....

GO STEELERS! Bullying the Seahawks fans in your school is next on the agenda....

I think it's pretty histarical .... but then I'm a bit more laid back than most. I guess the teacher just picked the wrong kid to kid with, or vastly underestimated the childs threshold for ribbing.

if it was me. I'd have sat my happy ass on the floor and laughed right along with everyone else. Get a fucking spine

in all honesty I'm surprised the teacher didnt realize he was going to get nailed to the wall for doing something like that though. With the rampant overprotectiveness of parents these days, it's amazing teachers are allowed to have emotions and personalities.

My mom almost got fired because a girl punched her in the face, and then hit her in the head with a school book. So my mom threw her up against the wall. I guess, as the adult she should have acted as the "better person" but I suppose that's why I could never be a high school teacher.

^^^ The only reason I say it might be reasonable during class is because it is an ethnicity class, and there could be a valid example made that relates to class material. For math, science, etc. it would never work.

cause they've won two super bowls, and had the greatest quarterback of all-time play for them - not to mention they make the playoffs most years

sure, that makes sense

at least the kid isn't an iggles fan.... Could be a lot worse Point is, he got picked on for a shirt he knew would draw attention. He then goes straight to the press, so he can have his 15 mins of fame.

His douchebaggery trumps whatever the teacher said or did. This kid knew what he was doing, and was hoping this would happen. I bet he was smiling before and after that picture was taken. It's called attention whoring Broncos style....

Butcher the Broncos, and then after the game throw paper wads at them....

GO STEELERS!

if this kid cant take a simple joke like this then he is going to have some serious issues later in life about being a huge vagina. honestly i saw shit like this all the time in high school and the kids would simply laugh at themselves and then make fun of the teacher. this kid needs to grow a pair.

^^ Are you a fuckin idiot? It's not like it was NCSU day and the kid was wearing a UNC shirt just to be a dick. His team was playing on Sunday too. There's no rule that says you have to be a Steelers fan just because you live in a PA. Welcome to America.

I said NOTHING about him not being allowed to wear the shirt. I am saying that he KNEW what he was getting into. Wearing a UNC shirt on NCSU day is not illegal, but bitching about the bullying that takes place when you wear it is just plain douchebaggery.

This smells like the kid forgot to study for his test. He got hit with crumpled paper, big deal. It really shouldn't be that traumatic of an experience. And the fact is right now we've only heard one side of the story and of course it's going to be as slanted against the teacher as possible. If the kid is so worried about his "relationship with the teacher" being strained because of the media attention, he shouldn't have gone to the media.

what a pussy

back in highschool i poked fun at my teachers for their teams sucking all the time (and vice versa). i side with the teacher on this one, and would do so if the situation occured with a steelers fan in denver instead.

of course he should expect to get harrassed for wearing the opposite jersey from the norm at school

from the goddamn students

NOT from the fucking teacher, and not in a way that could hinder a test.

Still don't see why the kid got on the floor, I would have refused and if someone threw paper at me I'd have thrown it back, no way I would have just taken it, that teacher would have had to send me to the office or whatever they do up there.

I probably would have also said, "where were the Steelers at in the 90's when the Bronco's were winning superbowls?"(I like neither team but I'm pulling for Cowher and the Steeler's)

And I can understand students heckling him, but a teacher doing it is inappropriate and that teacher should be reprimanded for such actions.

I wonder what the teacher would have done had Denver won, probably thrown the kid through a window or something.

Whats funny is all you Steelers fans saying you would have sat there and taken it, we all know thats bullshit. The teacher was out of line and should be reprimanded. Ribbing is one thing, I can take that but making the kid sit on the floor and throwing paper at him during an exam is a disruption of the learning environment.

no one is saying they would take it. in fact, in seems like everyone is saying they WOULDNT take it, but if they DID, they wouldn't cry about it to the media.

BUT I GUESS WHEN PITTSBURGH IS THE CITY YOU COME FROM, IT'S KIND OF EXPECTED (EVEN THOUGH 75% OF STEELERS FANS HAVE NEVER BEEN TO PITTSBURGH). IT TRULY IS THE ASSHOLE OF AMERICA

Bottom line is the teacher was a little out of hand but that kid should have known what was in store for him if he wore a broncos jersey to school. He needs to just stop being such a faggot and get over it.
