I'm trying to do my lab manuals for Quia. I have to open up audio files and for some reason my computer won't open them. It says that it's ready but when i click on it it does nothing. Then when i tried to follow the link it said the url is not valid. But my teacher says it's something to do with my computer because other people have used it. Anyone else run into this problem and might know how to fix it? I did make sure my windows media was up to date, so i know it's not that.

are you using IE or Mozilla? I've had trouble before with Mozilla.

I always just do Quia at the library. Works fine there.

most of my experience with quia is with multiple choice questions, that give you multiple tries, but tell you the answers after the first try... in theory it wouldn't be too hard to get a good grade without listening to the audio or reading the questions.

i can vouch for that approach

heck yeah... click submit as soon as you open it, copy and paste everything into a Word document, try it again, paste everything

^ It keeps you timed. Might not be a good idea if you have a strict teacher and you think he/she might look at how much time it took you to submit it.

most of my spanish professors were forced to assign it because of foriegn language department policy, and they also assigned a full set of additional homework to cover the stuff they wanted... so they could really care less about quia as long as you met the min requirements of the department.

yeah my teacher looks at how long it took you to do it and how many times you submit it. I just went to my sisters and it worked fine on her computer. Oh well...thanks for all the help anyways

My Spanish 102 teacher was great. Once we found out after the 2nd week that she didn't read over our Quia's...we would do the submit thingee for the multiple choice and copy and paste sentences from questions into the answer box for the problems that you had to write something. Extremely time-saving. Unlike that bitch Senor Baez...worst Spanish teacher ever.
