I've never been. What are average prices? Did you think it was worth it? Overall is it worth trying out. Thanks!
1/21/2006 7:05:45 PM
not worth it
1/21/2006 7:10:58 PM
it looks more expensive than it is... i can't remember the prices, but i was expecting to be overwhelmed. my guess is that my meal was $15-20? it was pretty good, but ive never really cared about going back
1/21/2006 7:11:23 PM
so if the prices arent ridiculous why arent you guys going back? im tired of eating at the same old places
1/21/2006 7:12:43 PM
good food at good pricebut too Americanized.
1/21/2006 7:13:15 PM
kanki is my b00
1/21/2006 7:14:45 PM
not good, girls love it
1/21/2006 7:15:39 PM
For a chain, it's good. Probably because generic Chinese delivery places are so horrible, it seems pretty nice relatively. Prices are reasonable. Have to get the lettuce wraps, ofc.
1/21/2006 7:15:53 PM
really the food isnt that great
1/21/2006 7:17:45 PM
it was okay food, but not for the price. and it does kind of give you that, "we are catering toward the american culture" feeling. kanki much better. asahi in cary is good but VERY pricey
1/21/2006 7:17:56 PM
not that great, but not that bad eitherprices are ok, and food is very Americanizedatmosphere is quite nice, we've had work lunches there a few times
1/21/2006 7:27:27 PM
You'll are all RETARDED! PF Chang's is good as shit! I could eat the Mongolian Beef everyday all day! The Crab Wontons (or ragoons or whatever they are called) are good as hell too for an appetizer!
1/21/2006 7:30:20 PM
the hot and sour soup is truely delicious..everything else is okay, but nothing really special...we had a roach running around our table last time we went
1/21/2006 7:34:53 PM
I didn't care much for it. Really nice atmosphere but the food was mediocre. My friend and I went for my birthday and we actually both got food poisoning. This was the one in Atl though.
1/21/2006 7:35:44 PM
I always get the vegetarian lettuce wraps (i'm not a veggie, but they're SO much better than the non-veggie alternative)and kung po tofu or shanghai cucumbers with sesame noodlesI like PF changs personally
1/21/2006 8:08:28 PM
ITS so good and 15-20??? my entire meal and a drink with tip is less than $15
1/21/2006 8:10:02 PM
1/21/2006 8:13:21 PM
i haven't been to pf chang's. but i guarantee: duck and dumpling is better. and it seems that it's similarly priced.
1/21/2006 8:16:31 PM
most definitely not worth it.... go downstairs to Kanki... much better food. PF Changs is bland and expensive.
1/21/2006 8:27:47 PM
actually most likely i just went to pf chang's last week and it was under $15
1/21/2006 8:35:41 PM
I have been to PF Chang's twice and enjoyed it. Know what you are getting before you go and you won't be dissapointed. If you role up on the place on Friday/Saturday night at 630 without a reservation, you won't have a good time. The foyer is small and crowded. They do take reservations, and you can just go ahead and ask for the booths on the back wall which are MUCH more comfortable than the tables cramped together. I found my service decent and the food"americanized", but overall good. Duck was good, but just get two things of lettuce rolls and drinks, then go next door to Cheesecake Factory for coffee and desert.
1/21/2006 8:45:07 PM
sorry i misread your post -- i thought you were asking if it would all be less than $15
1/21/2006 8:45:19 PM
Cankey is better, but Chang's has pretty good lettuce wraps.
1/21/2006 8:45:42 PM
its okay..that night we were actually gonna go to kanki then we remembered how expensive it was and went to pf chang's
1/21/2006 8:49:39 PM
i really like pf changs, i always get the pan fried shrimp dumplings, yes its "Americanized" but its better than regular take out and the atmosphere is nice. I used to love to go when I lived in Nashville, its one of the things i miss most since moving to Wilmington honestly haha
1/21/2006 8:54:33 PM
um, cough cough.what chinese restaurant isn't americanized?not many that all of you order from.[Edited on January 21, 2006 at 8:58 PM. Reason : .]

I tried it for the first time a couple of weeks ago and liked it. We also went very late at nite so we had awesome service. Its nice to share a couple of dishes with a date to get a nice variety. I also liked the Japanese Lager Total price was slightly more than something like Chilis or Applebees, very affordable. I personally expected quite a bit more until I checked out the menu.
1/21/2006 9:37:27 PM
pf changs is the shit. and its different than most chinese places because its a bistro which is different than traditional china cooking.people see white waiters and say its too americanized
1/21/2006 10:13:18 PM
just went today for the first time. it was ok nothing great doubt I would go back if I had a choice on it.
1/21/2006 10:16:15 PM
It's my favorite place to get some Chinese.Lettuce wraps and the hot and sour soup are teh winz.I can usually get the soup, the lettuce wraps, and some honey chicken to split between me and the lady for less than $30, tip and drinks included.
1/21/2006 11:42:56 PM
It's more than applebee's but the food is better too.It is cheaper than Cheesecake factory, and the food isn't as good as the food there (or so I think).I personally dont care for kanki and would much rather have Changs. But that's becuase I like Bennihanna's in Atlanata (or did several years ago) and I'm spoiled rotten when it comes to that style of food as a result.
1/21/2006 11:45:12 PM
Good food for the money. Its better than most chain restaurants but not that expensive. When my fiancee and I go we get Lettuce wraps or steamed dumplings, szechuan asparagus or long beans, and we split kung pao chicken (if its dinner and we are really hungry we'll get Mongolian Beef too). This is incredibly cheap and its filling.

PF Chang's has excellent food, but you can expect to pay at least $30 for 2 people after tip.I would highly recommend Pei Wei (pronounced pay-way) at Brier Creek. They have the same exact food from the same distributor (I think it's owned by the same company as PF Changs) but it's much less expensive, and you don't have to leave a tip since you pay at the counter as opposed to having a server. The atmosphere isn't nearly as neat as PF Chang's, but the food tastes identical, Mongolian Beef and Chang's Spicey Chicken (it's called something slightly different there) are my 2 favorites. I just ate there yesterday with a friend and it was like $18 for both of us.[Edited on January 22, 2006 at 12:41 AM. Reason : .]

The food is really good if you're willing to break away from the norm. The eggplant w/ chicken and the dan dan noodles are the heat.
1/22/2006 1:04:29 AM
Crispy Honey Chicken = Heaven on a plate. Now to just keep TennisAngel out of my damn crunchies (The little white things that stuff is served on)!!!!
1/22/2006 2:17:07 AM
I love the Singapore Street Noodles.
1/22/2006 3:26:40 AM
Overpriced for what you get. "Spicy" items are usually just hot instead of spicy/flavorful. Kanki is much better and worth every penny. I've been with various friends a few times because they like it, but I'd never go there on my own accord.
1/22/2006 5:27:15 AM
I'd agree with the good but overpriced for what it is comments.Try Peking Garden on Millbrook, or Imperial Garden on Leadmine or Sawmill, I forget which.
1/22/2006 5:36:23 AM
1/22/2006 11:07:58 AM
get the lettuce wraps
1/22/2006 11:17:07 AM
I love PF Changs!!http://www.pfchangs.com/cuisine/menu_main.htmlYou can also open the actual menu as a .pdf

PF changs ROCKSBEEF A LA SICHUANTwice-cooked with celery and carrots resulting in a crispy texture unlike anything you are used to.thats my fav dish there[Edited on January 22, 2006 at 1:12 PM. Reason : ]

blah, I thought the food was awful. But that was 4 yrs ago maybe they've improved
1/22/2006 1:12:32 PM
the food is crap. When I went to the one at Southpoint, all my food were too salty, and it's not really chinese food.
1/22/2006 1:13:30 PM
we usually go to neochina
1/22/2006 1:18:56 PM
seriously, don't go to PF Chang's. It's a waste of money.
