Note: The BCS does not award a title. The AP and coaches do.Before bowl games:AP - USC #1, LSU #2Coaches - USC #1, LSU #2After bowl games where both USC and LSU won.AP - USC #1, LSU #2Coaches - LSU #1, USC #2

actually the ncaa gives out nat'l championships and they decided to use the BCS system in which the winner of the national title game is the nat'l championusc didnt play in the nat'l title game so they have no way of becoming championif usc won a nat'l championship that year, where is their trophy?

I STILL DON'T SEE WHY AUBURN DOESN'T GET ANY CREDIT LIKE LSU DID....FUCKING BULLSHIT!!
1/18/2006 5:05:17 PM
^^the AP championship. Isnt there a trophy for that?
1/18/2006 5:21:45 PM
they were still a dominant team for 3 years and put up offensive numbers that were insane...give em credit even if you are an lsu fan

^^^well b/c they didnt finish #1 in any of the polls. before the bcs was implemented, there would have actually been a split NC b/w usc and LSU whereas Auburn would have just been a really good 2nd place^^well there is an AP trophy i think, i was wrong about thatbut last i checked random organizations cant just crown their team nat'l champion. the ncaa, comprised of every Div 1 school, got together and agreed on the BCS. I dont see people calling the NIT champs Nat'l champions.edit:^shit why should anybody give them credit? the media has already given them far, far, far more credit than they deserve.[Edited on January 18, 2006 at 5:56 PM.
