when a telemarketer would call, i would put the phone down for 30 seconds, then ask, wait, who did you want to speak to again? then repeat this process for as long as i can. it usually lasts about 2-3 minutes.so my theory is that if everyone does this, telemarketers would never be speaking to anyone and get a sale.

i havent had a land line in so long i forgot what a telemarketer was.

^I've heard of telemarketing calls on cell phones.It seems like the only reason they're not common is because the cell phone market is still mostly billed by time--in a few years, I'd bet that most cell phone plans will move to unlimited call time for a flat fee. Then the flood of telemarketers will ensue. They're not done with us yet....Also, telemarketing companies are still in the process of legally challenging the National Do-Not-Call Registry as unconstitutional--so the last chapter of that book has also yet to be written.....^^gg
