people dont get jobs as a rocket scientist without experience

they just dont understand the incredible value of a co-op program in their field of study.

if the majority of people in a given major do not do co-ops, do the majority not get jobs after graduation?

( the fact he's in grad school helps, imo)

havin any relevant work experience for ur major will help immensely when goin for a job after u graduate. some companies value experience more than grades/GPA. so for example, if someone with a decent GPA with good relevant work experience goes for the same job as someone with only a slightly better GPA, the person with work experience will get the job more often than not.
