^Yeah one of the best QBs ever is overrated....This was his first real chance at a Super Bowl because this was the first year he had a DECENT defense. And Peyton is still just 29 and Eli is what 24??? They will prolly both win a Super Bowl whether you like them or not.

fuel does have a point though....looking throughout peyton's career...he never has really elevated his game the way hes needed to in big games......just look at his record against fla in college

he has the most unorthodox delivery for an elite QB i've ever seen. now, i don't claim to have a great deal of knowledge about nfl history, but the way he dances in the pocket reminds me of my dog begging for dinner, and he short arms his throws like no other. guess it works for him though

if you know anything about football then you can appreciate what he brings on the field. He calls all the plays on the field, ALL of them. The OC usually handles the formation and personel and SOMETIMES suggests a "run" or "pass" but thats it.

QBs get WAY too much credit and blame for Wins/Loses. Manning was 0-4 against Florida in college. He tore them up, did everything he could, but the Tenn. defense could never slow down Spurrier until the year after Manning left.

Today was horrible coaching and o-line by Indy. The steelers kept bringing the house and for some reason they would never go to a protection set, they kept the empty backfield or James running out in pattern the whole day. I assume they thought they could exploit Dallas Clark being covered by a LB, which they did somewhat, but half the time Manning didnt even have time to get the ball to him.

I say it was a lot more the Steelers having the perfect game plan and executing it really well than it was Indy being shitty.

given, the o-line for the colts did suck (partially because pittsburgh lived up to it's name in blitzburg), Manning still made some pretty shitty passes that were severely over/under thrown.
