Washington has been the luckiest team in the NFL this season. This offense is horrible, they don't deserve to be in the playoffs.

Hey, I hope they win so the Panthers can host the NFC Championship game and so I can bet the money line on the Skins to hedge my bet, but this team is horrible and was only aided by a tremendous amount of luck this season.

I'm beginning to think that Brunell has money on the Seahawks.

The Skins need to shop for a FG kicker in the offseason.

Ah well, it was one helluva roastercoaster ride this season. Everybody, including me, thought they were out of it back in November. I'm damn proud of the guys for even getting to this point, it shows a lot of character and heart!

HAIL!

Agreed. GG Skins!

I seriously thought we'd go 5-11 this year. As it turns out, we are a couple of key positions away from being set for a while. (QB and WR are important though ) If we have to trade Lavar I hope we address a real need either via current players or draft picks, which we don't have many of this year.

NO JOKE. Another year where all the kickoffs are received at the 20 will kill me.

Damn I hate to trade Levar... but we really don't need him terribly...

We need to address lack of decent wide receivers (Taylor Jacobs? Thanks Spurrier!), seriously need a good DE, and a new kicker.

Anywho, great season Skins.... Gibbs will only have us better next season.

HAIL!

[Edited on January 14, 2006 at 9:04 PM. Reason : Oh yeah, and a QB. Why the HELL did we draft Jason Campbell again?]

kicker, pass-rushing DE, QB who isnt the most conservative passer ever when the run isnt working, and a second receiver...

that having been said, telling everyone i know thta at 5-6 i knew we'd win out and make the playoffs... best season of my formidable redskins-watching years (1992 was in second grade for me)...

motherfucking HAIL... i love this team so much, i love the coaching staff, and i love the "true redskins" kinda guys... marshall, sellers, jansen, thomas, cooley, washington, taylor.. the awesome gibbs mix of misfits and role players and playmakers

we will be good for years to come.

!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

we should draft manny lawson to replace lavar

and i have NO IDEA WHAT TAYLOR JACOBS IS DOING ON OUR TEAM

(besides dropping passes)

the "coach's son" can be cut when his "dad" is fired

Quote :
"The Youngster

Sean Locklear wasn't supposed to be a starter; veteran Floyd "Pork Chop" Womack was penciled in at right tackle when camp started. But when Womack suffered a triceps injury in an exhibition game, Locklear earned a six-week starting stint. "I know the plays, the coaching staff and my teams, he said at the time. "Now I've got a chance to prove I belong as a starter. This is my chance and I want to make the most of it."

Locklear did make the most of his chance, holding on to his job after Womack returned. Locklear had a reputation as a hard worker at North Carolina State; he graduated a semester early, sat through commencement services, then boarded the team plane to play in the Tangerine Bowl. An all-purpose lineman who played everywhere but center on the Wolfpack line (he also played defense and tight end), Locklear was selected by Seattle in the third round of the 2004 draft.

He has been impressing teammates and coaches ever since with his quickness and his work habits. "The big thing is Sean has really worked hard at this trade and his skills are improving day by day," line coach Bill Laveroni said during camp. Locklear was flagged for holding in his first two starts but quickly settled down; his only other holding penalties came against Michael Strahan. He hasn't been flagged since Week 12.

Locklear's emerging skills are evident when you break down the Seahawks rushing stats: Alexander and company are more effective when running to Locklear's right side (5.22 Adjusted Line Yards off right tackle, 4.71 ALY off right end), than to the left, where the Pro Bowlers play (3.76 ALY off left tackle, 4.21 ALY off left end). Many factors contribute to this unusual split, but Locklear's play is certainly part of the puzzle."
