Does anyone know how to find the OGR in problem #2 on the 2nd hw set?

It's at the bottom of the second page.

How do you know what gear the car is in? I am trying to compute the OGR for all the values in the spreadsheet.

I just played with the gear ratios till I found a value that gave a torque and power that was over what was required. Also, the RPM of the motor also has to be under 5000 I think because that was the highest point on the power and torque curves.

it is definitely a pain! but considering the hws are weighted heavily, what can you say

does anyone know when the hw for dr klang is due????? can we do the gear involute using Sworks/proe???

due tuesday. and no solidworks/proe. as he said in class, he wants the coding and source code you used.

What do you mean by the source code? What exactly does he want us to do it in? I did it in excel but it really doesn't have source code.

oops...i meant to say "coding and computer generated plot."he claimed he wanted us to use fortran or c++ or something to make the plot. but i'm just going to use excel and plug in the parametric equations for an involute
