no
1/14/2006 12:15:41 AM
he is pretty goddamned valuableespecially when he's healthyhe's up there....top 10 all-time.so is Jordan, and a few other big men (Russell, Chamberlain, Abdul-Jabbar, etc)
1/14/2006 12:18:20 AM
STFU n00b. MJ maybe, but Shaq has defined the game. And M played back when there were too many white guys. Shaq plays in the years of the niggers. You are only the "best" whenever you beat the best" And Shaq plays against 95% niggers, what was MJs %? Thats right....SHAQ=Best ever
1/14/2006 12:19:23 AM
ummm
1/14/2006 12:25:19 AM
1/14/2006 12:25:26 AM
lol
1/14/2006 12:26:34 AM
^^ I totally agree. But we're talking about "valuable" in terms of their respective value to their team. Jordan was 20x the basketball player that Shaq is.[Edited on January 14, 2006 at 12:31 AM. Reason : sdaf]
1/14/2006 12:30:47 AM
dude, MJ hands down. I would even pick Bill Russell, Kareem, and Wilt Chamberlain before Shaq.
1/14/2006 12:36:52 AM
e...echo?
1/14/2006 12:38:08 AM
jordan was the total package....it doesn't take much skill when you're as big as shaq...if i was that big i'd be dominating the nba too...and i could make free throws
1/14/2006 1:21:39 AM
MJ made his teammates sooo much better too ... pippen, paxson, ron harper, horace grant would have been wash ups (like they were after he retired) if it weren't for MJ
1/14/2006 2:25:22 AM
^^thats not the point though, doesnt change what shaq brings to a team.
1/14/2006 2:37:30 AM
[current team/player] is the best EVER!!! There has never been a team/player as good as [current team/player]!!!!/regains long term memory.
1/14/2006 3:08:53 AM
shaq is the most overated player of all time. theres guys in the nba RIGHT NOW better than shaq. if you put one of those guys on the heat right now for shaq they would be alot betterduncangarnetkobeand more"OMG SHAQS SO DOMINANT ONCE HE GETS INSIDE"put his ass on the line...PROBLEM SOLVED
1/14/2006 3:25:03 AM
jordan/world

1/14/2006 3:57:06 AM
arguments could be made for plenty of peopleShaq, MJ, Tim Duncan, Wilt, Kareem, Magic, Larry Bird, Russell
1/14/2006 10:03:05 AM
even Yao is better than shaqBen wallace, Amare Stoudamire are better and younger.
1/14/2006 10:22:18 AM
1/14/2006 10:35:45 AM
LOL.There's a reason why they always say "Shaq is the hardest player to officiate".That's because he throws people out of the way.In college that's called an offensive foul.Remember back in college when Laettner bitchslapped him?Heck, I'll even tell you why he sucks. In end-of-game situations he was to be taken out because he's a liability on the free throw line.LOL.Greatest player of all time has to be taken out during the last minutes because he's a liability?Let's look at centers that were better:Offensively:KareemWiltDefensively:Hakeem Olaj.Bill RussellPlease.
1/15/2006 12:51:04 AM
SKYWALKERRRRRRRRRRR
1/15/2006 1:38:56 AM
um...pippen was fucking good i don't know who was dissin' him. He would have been good on ANY team he played on....
1/15/2006 3:31:19 AM
1/15/2006 8:42:17 AM
Yea.Cause Shaq sure is tearing it up just two years removed now.
1/16/2006 5:10:07 AM
I'd hate to think that the greatest basketball player ever couldn't hit more than 50% of his FTs. IMO, Jordan is the greatest basketball player ever and I hate the Tar Holes with a passion.

1/16/2006 2:59:42 PM
KOBE BRYANT IS HAVING A YEAR LIKE WE HAVENT SEEN SINCE JORDANNO ONE IS BETTER WITH THE GAME ON THE LINEAND OH YEAH, SHAQ DOESNT HAVE ANY DAMN TITLES WITHOUT KOBE
1/16/2006 3:04:20 PM
HA.........I don't even have to say what I think...you know...............
1/16/2006 3:05:19 PM
you mean Kobe doesnt have any rings w/out ShaqKobe is a ball hog and not a team playerthey will not make the playoffs b/c Kobe can not keep this up and he is the only reason they are winningplease tell me you were joking
1/16/2006 3:12:37 PM
I have said it before and I will say it again...what Kobe is doing is impressive....but so was the year Jordan avergaged 37 a game.....without passing the ball......he admitted later in his career that when he was young he was selfish......many players today do not mature to the level jordan did and start passing the ball......Shaq is good, but I would put other centers ahead of him all time.
1/16/2006 3:18:25 PM
Craig Ehlo...hands down
1/16/2006 3:49:05 PM
wow, "macgyver" should be forced to change his TWW name because he clearly is too dumb to wipe his own ass, much less make bombs outta TP or talk bball. When ever you say "all time" anything its hard, because comparing players of different generations is purely speculative and full of OPINIONS. but, in my opinion, this is simple. although I think Jordan is the best player ever, the most valuable would have to be Bill Russell. If you dont know who he is or what he did, find out, then talk.
1/16/2006 4:44:37 PM
who the hell is bill russell? i heard he played point guard for the lakers...or maybe sf for the sixers...no wait...hmmm that doesnt seem right...you sure you're not talking about cazzie russell? or brian russell? or sam cassell?
1/16/2006 4:47:30 PM
Wilt the Stilt, hands down.If you think Shaq changed the game, you obviously know nothing about what Wilt did.
1/16/2006 4:50:10 PM
^lol
1/16/2006 4:50:33 PM
My only problem when comparing wilt and russell is the time when they played...true wilt had a lot of rules that were made to keep his game down....but think about the level of play back then versus the late 80s and 90s....put those guys facing all of the centers we had then....I think they without a doubt would be all-stars....but many of those stats would be taken down a couple of notches
1/16/2006 5:01:48 PM
you bring up some good points but its almost impossible to reach a consensus when comparing different erasI mean...Kobe, Jordan, Erving, Maravich...Shaq, Kareem, Wilt, Mikan...Bonds, Rose, Ruth...Bush, Sanders, Payton, Brown...Tyson, Ali, Marciano, Louisits always a fun topic but theres never really a general consensus
1/16/2006 5:07:13 PM
true....style of play changes every 10 years.....cool to think about though
1/16/2006 5:09:51 PM
can you compare MJ and Brackman, yes MJ is betterand the same can be said for MJ vs. Shaq, both great, MJ is a big time player, while shaq is a big elbows player
1/16/2006 5:13:12 PM
1/16/2006 5:21:30 PM
^^could MJ win a one-on-one game with Shaq where all the shots counted the same amount of points?I know Shaq would just back him down and dunk it every time^lol at baseball...but its true!]
1/16/2006 5:21:41 PM
you are right....but if it was full court, jordan would have ran past him and had easy shots every shot....also....shaq would have to take it down court without losing it...lol....you can't compare that...haha
1/16/2006 5:23:48 PM
i remember watching some old school 1-on-1 tournament on NBATV...something they used to do at halftime of old school All Star games...or at least the finals...and in the finals I believe were Nate Archibald and maybe Wes Unseld or some big power forward...basically Unseld won by just using low post moves...but it was also halfcourt
