i have 4 craftsman 1/2 clicker up to ~250-300generic 1/2 clicker up to ~150generic 1/4 clicker up to ~ 100generic 1/2 and 1/4 beam type tq??

my helms says they recommend a beam type. need to torque to 49 lb ft

What're you torquing?The only time I use a beam-type is usually preloading bearings and stuff...and for adjusting the bands on auto trannies.

The cool thing about using a clicker is you hit the same thing every time.A beam is a little more difficult, and it's likely to have some variation (though small and not worth worrying about)

I just bought a 1/2" clicker from Harbor Freight on sale for $15 a couple weeks ago. I think the brand is Pittsburgh... not sure how good that is, but for $15 it's not a big deal
