I need to know what's the difference between a 128MB and a 256MB?

Its the ammount of onboard RAM the video card has.

Most of the time more is better.

However the ammount of RAM a video card has should not be used as the primary statistics off of which you base your purchase.

The chipset the card uses would be the first thing to look at, and then RAM would be next.

it's all about the pipelines, baby.



oh yeah, and the interface. Make sure you dont buy a PCI-E card for your AGP board; or vice versa.

basically, if your computer is 2 years or older look for AGP

if it's newer, you have to check

i didnt think voodoos came for isa slots did they. thats bad advice right there.

when i went from a Voodoo 1 to a Voodoo 2, i thought i had died and gone to heaven. Quake 2 went from 20 frames per second to over 60. w00t!

I remebr going out and getting a Doamond Monster Fusion forever ago. I still haev that card at home in an oc'ed amd K6-300 machine. Ran amazing well for somethign as old as it was, and i used it all teh way up till late 2000

^ It all depends on your budget. The most advanced is the 7800GTX. The most budget firendly is the 6600GT. All in my opinion of course.

haha I GOT my amd-350 in late 2000.. first computer ever

eventually got a diamond viper v770 non-ultra tnt2 !
