My girlfriend recently lost her job and is in desperate need of employement. She's a double major BioChem, Chem Eng, with a minor in BioTech. She's worked in labs before and has a very high GPA. The problem comes in knowing who to talk to to find a job.

She is still in school but has a solid resume ready. Any help is greatly appreciated. You can email me at ChadStinner@nc.rr.com, PM me, or post under here. Thanks a ton!

Tell here to talk to some of her professors. They should know all kinds of people in the industry.

she has been but none of the areas she's interested in working in have any openings.

Thanks for the above suggestions. She's going to check them out.

The unemployment rate for chemists is 2%.

I wouldn't worry about being able to find a job.

ePack has quite a few openings. PM me if you have trouble finding them...

Also, check this site Queti mentions (that is a great site) for companies in the Park... there are quite a few good options for Chemistry/Chem E students

ACS student affiliates next meeting is all about places to work in the area. I think Dr. Boss (chem advisor) is presenting. She may want to attend that or just talk to Dr. Boss. He'll sit and talk to you for an hour if you're willing.
