(That might be "effect" in the topic, I don't remember right now)I really need to wash stuff outside, but I don't want to get caught and hit with a fine.I'm tempted to use my shower to wash stuff in, but then I would have to really clean the shower.

I believe I something on the news that the restriction is still active to avoid a shortage this summer.

people should always moderately conserve water to avoid situations like we had several months ago when there was like a month's worth of water left (well, that's what they said... i didn't believe it.)

^^^^^ If you had gone out and physically looked at the reseviors, you would have believed it.

^yeah from what I saw it looked like less then a month in some spots. Looked like those water holes in Africa during the drought season minus some crocs and baboons.

'twas crazy how low the water had gotten.I too need to wash shit...like the front end of my car prior to welding the new metal in. Unfortunately, I don't have a car trailer to haul the damn thing to the car wash (no radiator, can't drive) and it won't fit in the shower or dishwasher.

if i remember the restriction correctly, you can still wash your car, however, you just have to be manning the water hose while you do it.

^^^no, you can't wash your car unless you have means of catching and recycling the water.^^that's good thinking. especially when it's a no warning $200 fine.http://www.raleigh-nc.org/portal/server.pt/gateway/PTARGS_0_2_315_208_0_43/http%3B/pt03/DIG_Web_Content/feature/public/FeatDtl-PubAff-Despite_Rain__City_Remai-20051227-170800.htmlcheck out #4http://www.raleighnc.gov/publications/Public_Affairs/Ordinance_N2.pdf[Edited on January 9, 2006 at 6:31 PM. oh wow I thought it was off. I washed my car Sunday and two cops live like 30 feet from where I did it heh. I still think it's funny that car washes are allowed and they use 5 times the water I do.

car washes recycle the water

and it looks like it will get worse if they find out that Falls Lake has been contaminated from the sludge
