I'm looking to find a knowledgable personal trainer. I need to find someone who can get me on a strict nutrition plan, who can train me for the triathlons and marathons I am competing in. I do not want some meathead to get me buff, I need a trainer who understands that I want to compete in endurance sports.

All the trainers I have been able to find are either targeted toward soccer mom's or toward powerlifting and weight training. While I definitely understand the importance of weights, I have been less than impressed with the lack of understanding of my sport of choice and the demands required of it.

Can anyone recommend to me some endurance trainers who can provide me with the structured workouts, nutrition and skills to take this from being a casual pasttime to being a respectable competitor? I realize this is probably going to cost me all kinds of money, but I'm ready and willing to pay for good help.

Thanks guys!

you don't want anyone on tww

oh
i just noticed you want help with triathalons etc

hit up LiusClues

he might not "train" you per se

but his advice is fucking golden

Yea LuisClues is the one who got me started in the first place and I am still basically following the workout plans he hooked me up with.

He just trains too much himself to really be able to train me And I need someone who will keep tabs on me and keep my ass in line.

Just looking for recommendations of people or places that might specialize more in this kind of trainer/training.

i can coach you, noen.

i can't train with you. it won't be effective, you can try to find a partner on your ability level.

anyways, i gave you a rough schedule. but, talk to me on aim, for a more specific plan.

You probably won't have much luck finding a trainer that knows a whole lot about it because there's much more money in the soccer mom training. I think you said you were in school still, I'd try stopping by the PE dept and talk to some people there. They can probably take some time and get you some info on the endurance running and maybe someone to train with.

Noen, how many hours per week and how long do you plan on keeping this trainer?

He'll probably be helping me out a few hours a week I guess? And I was just messin with him about the probono Once again I luck out eh?

And god willing I'd like to keep him for the next couple of years, until I'm ready for an Ironman.
