I get dual file names, one with .flac, the other with .flac.flac. I'm using cdex. Both EAC and cdex users report this problem, but not everyone, and I can't find a solution. Any ideas?

A semi related question.Would anyone be interested in trading legitimate lossless rips. By legit, I mean, I have CDs that have scratches on them. For a couple of them, I may end up paying full price to replace them, but generally speaking, that is bullshit. So, it would be nice if we could post lists of CDs we would like to get from each other and trade. If there is an issue of piracy, then scanning the CD cover and initialing under the scan should cover it. Unless you guys know of any other way to replace almost unrepairable scratched discs.

are you going from cdex straight to flac? I use EAC, but I always do it the slow way and rip to WAV, then encode in FLAC or MP3 format

i have cdex set up to use flac as an external decoder. I might do what you are doing though and rip to .wav (since it is quicker) and run flac in batch over a lot of files at night or something.
