I recently got a PS2 memory card from my friend that had corrupt data on it. I tried to delete the data, but it won't get rid of it. Is there any other way to get rid of the corrupt data or should I just bite the bullet and get a new one?

you have to get a new one.

It was likely taken out of the PS2 while saving.

Its happened to me before and card was ruined.

Before tossing it though, i would check to see if the file can be erased by turning on the PS2 without a disc in it, go to memory card, pick the file and press delete.

Thats why you always see the DO NOT REMOVE THE MEMORY CARD OF TURN POWER OFF WHILE SAVING crap thats all over the games and console manuals
