Alright, ive had a damn nuff with these fuckin sports center anchors placing USC over damn near every team in cfb history. To sum it all up, they place them over the 2001 hurricanes?!?!?!?!?

Thats obviously like night and day. The canes were waaaaay better. Are these guys tryn to be funny with this shit or what? I like USC, but i don't even think they were better than the 00 noles. Or, a shit load of other teams the anchors shunned. And its not even the anchors, people are actually voting for these results. Am I missing something here?

Man i really can't wait til texas kicks dat ass

it is, indeed, a waste of a segment. just like the simulated press conferences. espn is having fun wasting everyone's time, i.e. stupid segments and lame movies.

But on top of that people are actually voting USC over historic teams. I agree that they were better than some past teams. But its like now, people (anchors, commentators)voters are saying that they are the best.

My whole reason for this thread was to see how many people agreed. USC seems to have alot of support nowadays. And it became evident when that dude picked them over the 01' canes.

Jeremey Shockey
Clinton Portis
Andre Johnson
Ed Reed
Phillip Buchanon
Vince Wilfork
Just to name a few of the 11 first round Miami draft picks that year. And USC is better??? Hell no

not to mention a young willis mcgahee

USC is way overhyped, they are a great team but i think people forget they only play one or two tough games a year and also i think if anything the 04 USC team is better than the 05 USC because they had a defense

actually, i don't know that they'd beat the '02 buckeyes (luck, while not quantifiable, should still be considered)...
if anyone sat down and really thought about it they could probably come up with at least half a dozen teams in the last 15 years who would beat usc...

don't be jealous of the 02 buckeyes. they were 13 pt underdogs, had the best defense in recent history, went 13-0 and knocked the shit out of ken dorsey all day. NATIONAL CHAMPS BABY!!!

jealousy is a terrible thing

How can you say that a half dozen teams would beat USC. 2000 Miami and maybe 95 Nebraska could, but the game would still be great. USC has one of the top 10 QB's and RB's of All time. Bush may be the moste talented RB ever and White may be the second best RB in the nation. The defense is suspect, but the O is so so great it can score at will. USC would compete with anyone. I only have them losing to Miami.

I honestly don't think bush is one of the most talented rbs ever either. He's top ten, and he is badass, but there are some really great rbs out this year (who are true rbs, bruisers/finesse in one package). You just dont hear from them b/c they're on sorry teams. Kid from memphis broke ncaa record this year in rushing. And there is another dude who has more yards than he and bush.

Bush is the man this year, but you can't say he is the best ever. You just can't say that without looking back in history.

Bush doesn't need holes.... ever watched him play? He doesn't just flat outrun you, he cuts back across field, make you fall flat on your face, and turns on the afterburners a-la Dante Hall.

Bush is one of the best ever...easily. IMO the most talented college athelete ever (At this point in his career), by far. Best RB? Hmm... it's hard to compare him with Ricky Williams, Herschel Walker, Barry Sanders, OJ Simpson, etc considering they all had very different styles. I could easily make an argument that he was better than all of them thus far in college, the opposite is also true

The kid is freakin nasty, and if there's anything about USC that isn't over-rated it's Reggie Bush.

USC's offense this year is probably the best ever assembled in college, but USC's team last year was better. Much better. Their defense may not be enough to hold off Texas... would'nt be too surprised if the horns pull it off. I hope they do

If you honestly watched film on these guys, you would not believe that bush is the best athelete ever easily.

The fact that you mentioned Dantzler in there is funny.

None of those mentioned above was a "man amongst boys' like Bush is. They were all great players who could singlehandedly win games, but Bush is just on another level from these guys.

Out of that bunch, Warrick was the best... and I still don't think he played out of his league like Bush did

i agree bush is amazing and one of the best all aorund athletes ever but as a running back running throuhgh the line your cutback opportunity will rarely be there. dante hall doesnt play runnning back. all i was saying is that bush woulndt of matched williams rushing yards if he was on memphis.

none of the other great offenses consistently played terrible defenses the way they have in the pac10. notre dames bad pass d was the only complete team they played all season and they LOST that game. greatest teams ever dont win games off 3 consecutive bogus plays to end a game.

Holy shit, I had no idea about that.

GO USC! Former NC State assistant vs. former UNC coach...easy call here.

Maybe if he wins another one he'll decide coaching at USC isn't a challenge anymore and move back to the east coast.

this whole piece has been stupid, the last two USC teams were better than the 2005 trojans

the huskers from 95 (i think) that they showed this morning with frazier and phillips and that D would have fucked the trojans up...

did these guys watch the fresno st game, or the ND game, fucking ND is good this year, but not near as good as some of those classic teams

they have wasted the segment by merely picking USC to win, and the national poll is worthless b/c most people will just vote for the current/most recent team online

and yes "theone" the 2001 hurricanes would have fucked USC UP, raped their mothers, put their military fatigues back on, and be back on south beach ripping lines at CrowBar before the night was up!

Ah, the ole edit after I already responded.

Alright, so what the hell do you want me to say?

I have never...ever.... seen a person dominate a game as much as Reggie Bush in my lifetime. There were other great players who racked up stats, but no one that I have ever seen could make people look so ridiculously stupid on the football field by running circles around them.

Holt and Warrick were great WR's. Frazier, Ward, and Vick were all great athletic QB's who won a lot of games and had great stats.

None of them brought the crowd to their feet every time they touched the ball like Bush does. Every time his knee touches the ground the entire opponent crowd lets out a sigh of relief. Holding Bush to a 10 yard gain every time he touches the ball is a feat.

Now, go ahead and insert your smart ass remarks about how I'm an idiot becuase there were other good players... there were. I think Bush is one of the most explosive, if not THE most explosive, that has ever played in college. Nothing I say is going to convince you that I'm right, and you're just going to sit there and shoot down everyone that disagrees with you.... so it's fucking pointless to argue about it. He's good, leage it at that

I'm not saying I'm right and he's wrong. It's not a matter of knowledge... most of us have seen all of the above players play(Most of the ones he listed were very very recently)

It's all a matter of opinion. An argument could be made either way. I remember watching Vick and Ward a few years back. IMO, Ward was the better of the two, and he was a playmaker, but in my opinion, he wasn't nearly as explosive as Bush is.

I just cannot recall one player giving fits to opposing defenses like Bush does. If you ran a fake reverse to Bush it'd be a free play. 4 open receivers while all 11 guys piled up on Bush on the other side of the field becuase they thought he had the ball... they're that aware of him.

Every time he touches the ball, chances are he'll take it to the endzone. He's averaged like 25 yards per touch countless times this (and last) season.... I just don't think Ward/Vick/R.Williams/Frazier ever had that ability like Bush does. (Obviously Williams and Frazier didn't.... but even explosive QB's like Vick and Ward didn't either...and defenses weren't even keying on them using their feet)

Dude look, im not tryn to convince you or anyone else to see things how I see it. But if you know soooo much about football (more than everyone else according to Packboozie) then how can you put Bush over players like Bo Jackson, and a shitload of others, that were before him. This is Bush's first year doing this awwing the crowd. Those guys i mentioned did it their whole career.

My whole thing is, ive seen it all before (what Bush is doing)
Hurdling guys
jukes
speed
(take a look at some Barry Sanders college films, then get at me)

Matter of fact, ive seen it against tougher opponents. Bush hasn't showed me nothing against a tough defense. He only had 75yds last year against OU. Im not taking anything from him at all, believe me. I think he is the best athelete this year, and maybe last year. But guys like Michael Vick, who singlehandedly raped that fsu defense in 00' (one of the best teams of all time) his first year playing. Then returning the following year to reek havoc on everyone.

Then your whole thing about the "man amongst child" is like wtf. I agree with you in that arguing opinions is pointless. But i criticized you for not making sense. I basically wanted you to tell me what was sooo different about bush, that put him "TOP" in the best of all time category.
And how do YOU measure explosive??im curious??everyone i mentioned had the ability to score and any given moment, and did.
But nevermind, im not tryn to be funny by saying this dude. But you continue to saddle up on bush, this is not even what the thread was about, so lets get back on the subject please.
