So I have sprint...and i signed on AIM with my cell phone...and now I cant get it to sign off...I told it to "sign off" but i'm still showing up as on my mobile to my friends...any ideas?[Edited on December 28, 2005 at 10:11 AM. Reason : .]

same shit happened to me. if you turn off your phone it seems to go away after a while. that or you can log in on your comp and tell it to log off the other instances of that name (that works as well).i manually logged off, but it was still on for about an hour, so i tried the other things above (which seemed to work faster).[Edited on December 28, 2005 at 10:20 AM. yeah, that happened with me on cingular, even when my phone showed me offline, i stayed online on peoples buddy lists, and it charged me for every msg that they sent, i had like $130 in aim fees that month, had to go to the store, and they dropped it

if possible, dont use the aim client provided by your mobile carrier as they charge per message instead of a flat data rate.If you have a windows mobile phone, get something like Agile Messager. You'll still be charged for the internet access, but it will be a flat data rate charge instead of the overpriced per message.

i have unlimited sprint vision and unlimited text messaging...does aim still cost money? i dont bother using it, but that would be gay.
