http://sports.espn.go.com/ncb/news/story?id=2269173WASHINGTON -- Former LSU forward Regis Koundjia has been declared eligible to play for No. 13 George Washington starting with the Colonials game at North Carolina State on Dec. 30. The school announced Thursday that Koundjia, who transferred to George Washington last year, had satisfied academic residency requirements and can join the team. A 6-foot-8 junior, Koundjia can play the rest of this season and the 2006-07 season. George Washington is 8-0, its best start since the 1953-54 season. The Colonials' No. 13 ranking is its highest since January 1956. Koundjia, from the Central African Republic, left LSU after averaging 12.3 minutes in six games as a sophomore in 2004-05, citing a lack of playing time. He had started 20 games as a freshman, averaging 3.9 points and 3.6 rebounds.
