Not that good. Jim Carrey does a lot of interesting stuff, but nothing in the movie pays off with the kind of laughs you'd expect from him.

I was able to enjoy it because I momentarily put aside my typically analytical nature regarding film. And I resigned to the fact that every year on Christmas my Dad is going to drag us to a dumb movie. I wanted to see History of Violence
