thats just because we enforce dui laws more than a lot of states
12/22/2005 9:19:12 PM
i know, same for seatbelts. still just struck me as a funny comparison of statistics though.
12/22/2005 9:23:19 PM
^^ yeah but once its enforced the legal system from there is so fucked up i dont even want to get started on it...
12/22/2005 10:00:35 PM
i think the legal system is pretty fair actually, dont break the law and you have nothing to worry about
12/22/2005 10:06:12 PM
i agree, but lapses in judgement do happen and sometimes the law gets broken and as im finding out in this case, its definitely biased towards the state...
12/23/2005 7:27:32 AM
we have enough smart city folk but just enough backwards hill folk that makes our state great

12/23/2005 8:41:36 PM
oh wait, it looks like youre trying to be funny again, how about you write us another novel about your chump ass illegal inspection tickets...perhaps im just a little misplaced on the last thread of hope i had in that little thing called a bill of rights, or perhaps i just dont know all the ins and outs of the loopholes of the law, but i already knew that...and yeah, the bill of rights is dead to, but as you might notice when you learn to read, is that i made an observation. not once did i propose a change of the law or whine and cry about it being the way it is.but thanks for coming out anyhow...
12/23/2005 8:52:05 PM
awww im sowwy you have legal twoubles lil buddy, you should call james scott farrin okay?fucking nerd
12/23/2005 9:04:34 PM
i am thoroughly confused about this thread
12/23/2005 9:56:12 PM
^^ i dont need you to be sorry, or care for that matter. again, observations are all i was making. the nerd comment was great though, you must have put a lot of thought into that one.
12/23/2005 10:02:05 PM
what the fuck does the bill of rights have to do with breaking the law?
12/23/2005 10:04:55 PM
hmm i think we have a right to break the law....
12/24/2005 1:58:59 AM
all of you are fucking tools.
12/24/2005 2:30:40 AM
12/24/2005 3:23:29 AM
Ivan, they killed your thread with the quickness
12/24/2005 9:43:20 AM
two things that will inflate the dui charges: the military bases & college campuses.

huh? if you want to make stupid postulations at least go with more logical factors, like the millions of mexicans here.
12/24/2005 12:34:34 PM
seat belts are for pussies

Seatbelt laws I don't agree with, but DUI laws/enforcement, I'm all for that.I'm what you might call a liberal tree hugging hippie, and an almost libertarian in many of my views, however if you are to drive on a public road, I would like you to be in full control of the vehicle you're driving. That means to be driving it, not drunk.Ahmet

because it's needless intervention in my life by the government. it's not going to injure anyone else if i don't wear my seatbelt and/or helmet.
12/28/2005 12:13:46 AM
Now here's where I throw you a curve ball, Ivan...What if said no-seatbelt-wearing fools get in an accident. They're seriously injured to the point of never being able to fully recover. They have no health insurance.Who pays their medical bills? What if they are a vegetable for the rest of their lives, and have to live in an assisted care facility funded with your tax dollars?I don't think it's necessarily about the govt. taking care of all of those people who can't take care of themselves. I think it may well be about money as well.
12/28/2005 12:17:54 AM
you might hurt your children if you dont make them buckle up and dont buckle up yourself
12/28/2005 12:20:26 AM
^^the number of cases like that would be limited... personally, i'd rather pay a few more bucks in insurance than be told i have to wear a seatbelt. i agree it's about money as well... the insurance companies saving money in payouts. lets also not forget who pays the salary of the people who enforce such laws, and those that make the laws. so i can't really see how it saves the common citizen any money, we pay either way.
