3. A Canes game in Reynolds would be badass, but it's not set up correctly any more. First, they'd have to get new ice-making equipment. The freezing pipes are still in the concrete floor, but they're inaccessible due to the new wall-to-wall basketball/volleyball floor.

no i meant more along the lines of wisconsin/minnesota area...there are 3 hockey teams in the area of northern new jersey/nyc as it is

certainly they do...most of them are transplants from the midwest/northeast i would venture to say. there are places in this country (major markets) without hockey teams that are in areas where hockey is a way of life, from pee-wee all the way through college

There are 22 million people in the NYC metro area. Minnesota and Wisconsin combined have less than 10 million statewide (not exactly local) plus they already have the Wild. Sure these places (like many Canadian areas) are hockey hotbeds but they just don't have the fan power. NYC metro area can support more franchises than most timezones.
