This is really a serious question. I pee like once a day..if that. I poop 3 times a week. Its been this way for a while..and never thought it was a problem. Today, at my parents house, my mom noticed that the toilet paper in my bathroom has been empty for days..so she finds out that I didnt poop in 3 days...and starts freaking out. Sometimes it takes me like 3 days to shit, but then I shit like 4 times in 36 hours, then take a few days off again. The other day I shit 3 times in one day, and the last time....I sat down to shit and tried to wipe my ass before any shit came out. I was pretty impressed with my own supidity. then I found 20 dollars.

Well, considering how the average human fully digests his/her food in 24 hours, you should be taking a shit every 24 hours (to 48 hours at the max). If you're not doing it that often, perhaps you should drink more water and stay away from those diuretics (like caffeine, alcohol) to ease the natural process.[Edited on December 20, 2005 at 9:42 PM. strange question...when you do have a bowel movement, do you find yourself overly straining or the BM overly foul smelling? Those two pieces of information make a big difference. Lots of folks don't have BMs every day or even every other day. The big deal here is whether or not this is normal for you. I recommend that instead of going to the doctor tomorrow you begin keeping a food and liquids journal (how much, when, etc). Additionally, keep a journal of when you have outputs. Once you've got a little documentation, take it to a doctor. Then they can help you determine whether or not you've got a healthy cycle that you work on or if you need to increase either liquid or soluble fiber intake.

bottom line is...If you dont have the liquids in your body to make that pile of shit, you're not going to get that pile of shit. So avoid those drinks that dehydrate you like, soft drinks, coffee, and esp alcohol. If you're not going at least every 1 1/2 days, that could be a sign for more serious problems to come.

In my opinion, if you're not pissing at least three to six times a day, then you're not pissing enough.I shit once, sometimes twice a day. Even when I was only eating less than 1800 calories a day, I went at least once a day. Only rarely did I not go each day.You need to keep up your fluid intake.Do you eat a lot of salt?

I normally only piss about 2x per day (depending on what types of drinks I drink), and crap every 2 or 3 days.
