That is soo true. I must wonder, however, with nearly every vehicle in Europe using a diesel engine surely there is a market in place to distribute restaurant grease, right? Has anyone here been to Europe and actually seen this market in action? If not, I wonder why not...

well, regular diesel engines can't run on grease without modification. they can run on biodiesel, but that requires modifying the grease itself. There is alot of biodiesel in europe,though.

My favorite part was some dude in Germany got flak for making biodiesel that included cat carcassas.

Isn't biodiesel still having problems with cold temperatures though? I remember that it was a big hurdle for the technology since it had even less tolerance for the cold versus diesel and gasoline.

That's a problem with homemade biodiesel. Most of the stuff you get out of the pump is treated with stuff to prevent that, though. I think.
