urban meyer is soo 2004

^^Put Notre Dame in the SEC this year and see if they go 9-2. I think not. More like 7-4 much like Florida did. There is no way you can say Weis is better than Meyer at this point.
12/19/2005 11:34:52 PM
No way? You honestly think that Weis has as much talent to work with as Meyer?GTFO.Weis exceeded expectations. Meyer fell short. Weis = Winnar.yuo = loser.
12/19/2005 11:37:55 PM
Notre Dame is in a BCS Bowl how bad of talent can Weis have? And nothing was said of talent. The question is coaching. Weis played a MUCH easier schedule than the one Meyer had to face in the best college football conference. I would say both coaches are doing well so far. Leak has played up and down and yet Florida beat FSU, Tennessee, and Georgia. 8-3 was better than expected for Florida as well I think or at least should have been.
12/19/2005 11:44:46 PM
what in the god-damn fuck are you babbling about? How the hell can you evaluate a coach if you don't factor in the talent on his team? All that booze must be going to your brain. You shouldn't post when you're drunk.

lol meyer doesnt even have his guys yet. you need YOUR guys to run an offense that is that unique and complex against the best defenses in the country. look what he did with alex smith at fucking utah. give 2 or 3 years and florida will be a POWERHOUSE

These last few weeks have been very exciting for us Gator fans. We went 8-3 and beat all 3 of our rivals. There were some bumps in the roadin our three losses....I was at the SC game blah. But overall Meyer has the program heading up, after the Zook debacle (I was at the Miss State game last year...I saw it first hand) and I see nothing but good things for the future.

Florida is raking them in, UGA may still have a better overall class though!

is there a thread about the Wolfpack's recruits for next year?if so, will someone paste it
12/20/2005 9:16:44 AM
Ive never been real big on the Gators, but I was informed from a Florida graduate that Meyer's first year elsewhere was much like his first year at Florida, and then he got much better. Whether that has to do with his team learning or getting his players is yet to be seen, but I dont think this past year is anything to sneeze at when it comes to Meyer and Florida, at least they werent Tennessee.
12/20/2005 10:46:28 PM
this thread is juicy!!! i wont even touch on meyer not even recruiting the core of that utah offense, because that would be too easy

You can't really compare who is a better coach or not. They run two totally different systems. 8-3 in the SEC is a really good year. Spurrier didn't win every game every year, 9-2 at ND is a good year to. Schedule strength was about the same. Just because you are in the SEC doesn't make you a better football team. Overall both teams had good years and are on the same level.

i love Weiss, but keep in mind he didn't bring ND out of the toilet. Willingham did. Willingham just wasn't a championship coach; he was a transition coach.as for the comparison, its too early to say whether Weiss or Meyer is better.
