I have to have a subscription for the NY Times for my journalism class next semester and I've had problems with getting newspapers to my dorm before - I live in Sullivan Hall. Do you guys know of any way to get it delivered to the dorm every day?

^^Cool, you're in my class.

Awesome, which one? Because I have two classes that need it. And I know how to get a subscription, but the N&O I know didn't deliver to my dorm, and I didn't know if NY Times was any different.

order it to a house on dixie and get there really early every morning before the residents take it?if the N&O doesn't deliver to dorms then why the hell were they signing people up for subscriptions for the 8 year span i was around campus?

The N&O does deliver to the dorms in a manner of speaking. They have locked boxes around campus that you can fetch your paper from.

Pretty much every library should have a subscription to it, just read it there. Or jsut go to a book store like Barnes & Noble on a regular basis and buy it.

Is it Cat Warren's class? Because that was the best class I took at N.C. State.

Yeah, this class is ENG 417, Editorial and Opinion Writing, with Cat Warren.

Online subscription is free, I thought?

^^ GREAT CLASS!I was in it with moonman, and my girlfriend is taking it this semester. It is a lot of fun if you remotely enjoy writing and having an opinion.

If you get an N&O on campus subscription, make sure they lock the box every night. People stole half our papers the time my suite bought a subscription.

have it delivered to an off-campus buddy

you can read it online with lexis nexis. I am pretty sure you have an account through NCSU

^^ That's a really good idea.Reading it online isn't the same as having it in front of you in class. Having a paper copy of the NYT was useful in a few of my English and all of my poli sci classes.Especially the crossword.

^^Whoah. Never knew that ... is it through the library and can you go to LN's site and login with your own credentials?I would have it delivered downstairs to one of the 24-hour desks; just remember to put your 402A or whatever your suite number is on the paper. Can probably pick it up on the way to class.

I always used JStor in Undergrad. In lawschool, we got our own logins. I am not sure how it works.
