make sure you get the book, Sylvia lectures/reads straight out of it... towards the last 1/3 of the class she jumps all over the place and talks really fast so the book doesn't really help then.

yeah, the 3rd edition is the same thing, the only major difference is in the 4th edition gluconeogenesis is a seperate chapter where as in the 3rd edition its in the same chapter as glycolysis.
