If its a C- wall course, the worst they can do is tell you no and the best they can do is make you not have to take the class again. If a D is passing, then accept it and move on.

Of course it's wise to try to get any grade bumped up. To me it sounds like you didn't put forth the effort in the class and got a D+ and you probably won't put forth the effort to get the grade bumped up either.

what is the definite way to determine if a class is C-Wall or not?

i got a D+ in CSC 316, and even though i'm a CSC major, the degree key doesn't show this class as C-WALL (doesn't have the 0 for max D hours allowed). does this mean that the class isn't C-Wall for sure?

In addition, the College of Engineering requires either a GPA of 2.0 or higher in all courses bearing the CSC designation or a grade of C or higher in each CSC course used to satisfy the requirements in the major.

I would play it safe and work for the C-. It looks worse since it's for your major. You may want to consider changing majors.

i think the GPA of 2.0 or higher in all courses is still met. i had a 4.0 before this semester and now will have a 3.2 major GPA
